Welcome home! This Online Immersion is for you sister, to reclaim your menstrual health and reconnection to cyclical wisdom. The yoga therapy practices in this online immersion are our gift to you: Simple gestures, easy rhythmic movements, deep relaxation are all integrated to support your menstrual well being. There are friendly conversations, sharing tips, hints and encouragement for all women to celebrate the wisdom of our bodies.
Do you inhabit a female body? Do you want to make friends with your menstrual cycle? Do you want to understand more about the wisdom of your body’s cycles? Do you want to learn yoga therapy practices to support menstrual well being? Then this online immersion course is for you. It includes key yoga therapy practices for each phase of the menstrual cycle, with deep relaxation practices to nourish your well-being, and friendly chats to share top tips and hints to live in harmony with your cycle.
This stand alone online immersion course gives you everything you need to know to start making friends with your menstrual cycle. It is also the pre-requisite for the 40 hour Yoni Shakti: Well Woman Yoga Therapy Training course/retreat.
All the practices in this immersion experience have been developed since 1998 by yoga therapist Uma Dinsmore-Tuli PhD and are described in her book Yoni Shakti. Uma shares these practices in this online immersion course with her long-standing teaching colleague Sivani Mata Francis, artist and bhakti yogini. Sivani Mata and Uma’s conversations are the heart of this immersion experience, and Sivani Mata’s drawings illustrate the course material.
What does the course include?
There are six sessions to this Online Immersion course, themed on the inner seasons:
6. Thank You
Each section includes:
• Written content, where the course material is introduced and summarised
• A video conversation where that material is explored in more depth
• An audio recording of a yoga nidra practice pertinent to the material
• A practice video pertinent to the material (in the four seasonal sessions)
• Further reading
• Enquiries for you to reflect upon
• A closing kirtan (Thank You session only)
You also get access to a Zoom meeting with the course tutors (Uma and/or Sivani Mata). In this session you are invited to join us for a greeting circle, live Yoga Nidra, mudra meditation and time to ask questions and share experience with other sisters journeying with the immersion.
The course is approximately twelve hours worth of material, however, the pace at which you work through the course is completely up to you – there are pros and cons for both an immersive and a slow-and-steady approach.

"I have recently completed the Yoni Shakti: Well Woman Yoga Therapy Online Immersion. I haven’t done anything like this before, so this course was a completely new experience for me. The course was simple to work through and I was easily able to fit it in around my life. I found the whole course nourished my feelings and cemented lots of beliefs I already had about being a woman. I am grateful for this transformative learning experience" – Francis
"I am most grateful for this wonderful course. I love the way it is presented. So easy to follow through and there is so much love shining through from the both of you. Having done the well women course twice, the content of the online course is almost like a souvenir, which shall accompany me month to month throughout my cycle. I highly recommend it, not only as a prerequisite but also to accompany all my notes and written material from having done the course." – Diane
"The website and layout for the course is just SO beautiful. All of the content is glorious, rich and nourishing and feels really yummy... the absolutely luscious written content, the inquiries and the beauty of the nidras have touched me so deeply" – Shri
