EVENTS – BRIGHTON | Wild Devotion
Potent and Purposeful Practices to honour Kali Ma
with Cloe Jackson, Sivani Mata Francis
and Michelle Crozier
Sunday 29th October | 2pm – 6pm
at The Loft at Little Dippers,
42 Upper Gardner Street, BN1 4AN
An afternoon of DANCE, KIRTAN and SOUND HEALING to connect with the energy of the Divine Mother, Goddess Kali, to gather in celebration of the festival Samhain (Halloween), the Celtic end of the year, and a time of letting go.
This is a powerful time to come together to honour and celebrate the fearless, freeing and fiercely compassionate qualities of Ma Kali and ourselves. Kali is the energy of time itself, to come into the present moment, letting go of all that no longer serves us. Her qualities and the purpose of The Dancing Universe are intimately connected.
This deeply transformational event will unfold like this:
2pm ~ OPENING CIRCLE
2.15pm ~ MOVE YOUR WORLD
Guided and held by Cloe with live drumming from Michelle
A liberating free-form dance experience to move your world. The dance journey takes you on an adventure to release all that get between you and your right to freely express yourself in the world. We will explore the blocks of separation that keep us from knowing and experiencing the body, breath, soul and cosmos, all in connection, all dancing as one. This is your opportunity to peel away the layers between you and your untamed naked soul, without even taking your clothes off.
The space is held as safe and sacred and the dance process is guided, but there is no choreography, no shoes, no drink or drugs, no judgments.
3.45pm ~ SOUND HEALING AND MANTRA CONCERT
You will swept away on a Sound Healing experience as you dissolve back into the earth and let the rejuvenating sounds take you on a journey of deep expansion and sweet surrender. The vibrations and potency of music and vocals will take you deeper, into unexplored and forgotten spaces. This will lead into a divine concert of mantras to enjoy as you lay, sit, move or sing. This music is medicine for the soul. It is music that moves you...to experience deep healing and authentic awakening. The music will be a creative mix of mantras, shamanic sounds and rich angelic tones.
4.45pm ~ KIRTAN
with Sivani Mata and Michelle :-)
Singing the profoundly healing sounds of sanskrit mantra effortlessly drops our awareness out of our busy minds and into our hearts. Kirtan is from the path of Bhakti Yoga (pure love and compassion) and responds to where you are it and what you need in that moment, whether that is to bring you to a space of calm or elation. It can be deeply moving and incredibly joyful.
WHY: To devote yourself to the powerful and transformational qualities of Ma Kali, to what it is you believe in, and take action towards your ultimate purpose. To gather in celebration of the festival Samhain (Halloween), the Celtic end of the year, and a time of letting go. To liberate yourself from what holds you back in life and experience yourself as the miracle that you are. To experience the joy of freeing up your body, your mind and your voice, so you can face life with more ease, clarity and honesty. By removing all the obstacles, diving into your vulnerability, devoting yourself to your wildness and re-aligning with your truth you get to experience your total untamed beauty.
