The Nikki Slade Kirtan Leader School in collaboration with the Study Society will be hosting a ‘Chantathon’ with 18 inspiring and devoted new kirtan leaders all graduates of the Learn To Lead Kirtan Foundation Training, school of 2016 and 2017.

We warmly invite you to come and immerse yourself in the sublime practice of kirtan or ecstatic devotional singing in this 8 hr. non-stop celebration of chanting from the Heart.

The event consists of 2-3 kirtan leaders per hour, who will lead a chant each to uplift you and spread joy throughout the community. We are thrilled to announce that Sivani Mata an established and beloved kirtan leader both in the UK bhakti community and at The Study Society will be our special guest on the day offering a full kirtan set. We are also blessed to have Tom Simenauer aka Tabla Tom who will be our sound engineer and tabla player for the day. Nikki Slade will also lead a kirtan set accompanied by Dhruva Smith on tablas and mrdanga.

This promises to be a beautiful day of kirtan ‘chanting from the heart together' and another great opportunity to expand the joy of chanting though out the city of London. We warmly invite you to come and please know that you do not need any prior experience to chant. All you need to bring is your Heart, a yoga mat and cushion to sit on, a warm shawl or blanket and bottled water. You may come and go as you please, Indian Festival style!

Investment:
Tickets are £30.00 Inc. all day ticket and refreshments which will be available in the refectory downstairs, including dhaal and rice and a Chai kitchen.

Please feel free to bring packed lunch however no food will be permitted in the upstairs hall. There are plenty of spaces to consume food downstairs including the house garden. You may also bring hot drinks into the hall provided they are in a sealed container. All proceeds from the day will go to The Study Society to raise funds for their building maintenance, community programs and events.

The Study Society, Colet House is located 200 yards from Barons Court tube station (District & Piccadilly lines, Zone 2): turn left out of the Station and left again on to Talgarth Road. Colet House is a 15 minute walk from Kensington Olympia station on the London Overground route from Clapham Junction to Stratford via Willesden Junction. Please note, Colet House currently has scaffolding along the front of the building.

Local streets have pay and display parking, Margravine Gardens being the nearest with free parking after 5pm and at weekends. Margravine Gardens runs parallel to Talgarth Road immediately to the south of Barons Court tube station. (Roads north of Talgarth Road are pay and display up to 8pm and also on Saturdays). There is a 20-minute Loading Bay outside the House available from 10:00-16:00 and 19:00-07:00.
